1. Who is responsible

This website is operated by Emre Can Yildiz as a personal site published in an individual capacity. The full postal address and legally required contact details are listed in the Impressum. Contact: hello@can-yildiz.com.

2. What data is collected

This site does not use cookies or tracking pixels. This site uses Vercel Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-first analytics service that collects no personally identifiable information.

This site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). When you visit, your browser connects to Vercel’s edge network to receive page content, and Vercel processes standard server access logs (IP address, browser user-agent, requested URL, timestamp) on the operator’s behalf. The legal basis is the operator’s legitimate interest in delivering and securing the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). These logs are retained by Vercel for a limited period for security and operational purposes and are not used by the site operator for marketing or profiling.

Vercel may process and transfer data to the United States. Vercel is certified under the EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework and relies on the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for transfers outside the EEA. Vercel maintains SOC 2 Type 2 and ISO 27001:2022 attestations and encrypts data in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). This processing is governed by Vercel’s Data Processing Addendum and privacy policy.

Vercel Analytics collects page view events, referrer information, and Core Web Vitals performance metrics (largest contentful paint, first input delay, cumulative layout shift). It does not set cookies, collect IP addresses, or use any persistent identifiers. The legal basis for this processing is the operator’s legitimate interest in understanding site usage and performance (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) — the same basis as Vercel’s server access logs. Vercel Analytics is governed by Vercel’s privacy policy and DPA.

3. Fonts

Web fonts (Space Grotesk, Inter, JetBrains Mono, Nabla) are self-hosted via Next.js and served from the same origin as the page. No requests are made to Google Fonts or any third-party CDN for font files.

4. External links

This site links to external services including LinkedIn and YouTube. Following those links is subject to the respective platform’s privacy policy. This site has no control over those services.

5. Email contact

If you send an email to hello@can-yildiz.com, your email address and message content will be stored only for the purpose of responding to your enquiry. No data will be shared with third parties. You may request deletion at any time by emailing the address above.

6. Your rights (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port any personal data held about you, and to object to processing. Because this site collects no personal data beyond what Vercel logs automatically, these rights apply primarily to email correspondence.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority — in particular in the EU member state of your habitual residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement (Art. 77 GDPR).
